Lady Gaga on 'Ellen'

“My dream would be to be in a Woody Allen movie,” Lady Gaga tells Ellen Degeneres during an appearance on her daytime chat show.

The outrageous entertainer also admits she would love to do more acting — but no one seems to care if she is any good at it!

“No one ever asks me to audition,” she says. “They’ll just say ‘We want her to do this movie’ and I will just say ‘Why? You have never seen me act. I want to work for it.”

Rosie O’Donnell‘s love life is doing much better than her low-rated talk show.

The comic, 49, announced today that she will exchange “I do’s” with her girlfriend, corporate headhunter Michelle Rounds.

She broke the news to a live studio audience during a break in taping for “The Rosie Show” in Chicago.  A rep later confirmed the news, but noted no date has been set.

The happy couple met at a Starbucks earlier this year and made their first public appearance in September at the annual Rosie Theater Kids Gala in New York City.

During a recent interview with “Nightline,” O’Donnell said:  “I thought she was a 28-year-old heterosexual girl, because that’s what she looked like to me. And she’s a 40-year-old gay woman.  My gaydar was way off!  I think if I had known that she was gay, I wouldn’t have been brave enough to talk to her.  She’s very beautiful, it’s very strange. And she’s really lovely, and she’s very … we laugh a lot.”

O’Donnell has four children with ex-wife Kelli Carpenter.  They married in 2004 and split in 2007.

No word if Donald Trump or Bill O’Reilly will be invited to the wedding.

Did Oprah Winfrey really write to Wendy Williams? Gayle Kings says no.

On her syndicated talk show Wednesday, the wig-happy host read a “letter from Oprah” that was supposed to deny any fallout between the talk show queen and her BFF, Gayle King.  (Rumors of a rift were fueled when King bolted from Oprah’s sinking OWN network in November to host a new CBS morning show.)

But Friday (December 2), Gayle phoned in to Ton Joyner‘s radio show and insisted the letter was a fake!

“The letter that I heard Wendy read…I didn’t see it… (but) I know Oprah never wrote a letter to Wendy,” she said.  ” I said, ‘I’m getting all these messages that you wrote a letter to Wendy,’ and she goes, ‘Gayle, you know more than anybody knows that that’s not true,’ number one.”

Gayle also clarified that it was Miss O who encouraged her to take the CBS gig.

‘[Oprah] said, ‘Are you kidding? This is so what you do, the news is what you love,” she explained.  ”You would be crazy to pass it up!’”

Neil Patrick Harris says he’s sorry.

The out and proud “How I Met Your Mother” star put his foot in his mouth Thursday while guest hosting “Live! With Kelly.” During a segment with “Science Bob”, the pair were sucking on gas that made their voices go a few octaves lower. While Kelly joked: “Lukem I am your father,” Harris quipped: “I’ve never sounded more like a tranny in my life.”

NPH took to twitter Friday to apologize – and hopefully avoid getting “glitter bombed”: “Truly sorry for saying the word ‘tranny’ on Live this week. Twice! Should have been more thoughtful. Didn’t at all mean to offend.”

It’s been a while since Justin Timberlake became a schoolgirl idol in the boy band ‘NSYNC – so long, he seems to be forgetting the songs that made him famous.

During a visit to the ‘Today’ show on Thursday, Matt Lauer began quizzing the star about trivia from his career.  All was good until Justin was asked to recite the lyrics to one of the groups biggest songs – “Tearing Up My Heart”:

Kelly Clarkson appears on "The View" October 26, 2011

Kelly Clarkson was on “The View” Wednesday to promote her new CD, “Stronger.”  But heck, it seemed like a great opportunity to explain the misconceptions about her sexuality.

“People think I am gay,” the “American Idol” winner admitted.  “They’re like ‘I don’t understand why I you’re not married.’  And I’m like ‘It doesn’t happen for everyone.’”

“I have dated some cool guys, but I don’t know if I have met someone who I could spend the rest of my life with.

“For Burleson, Texas I am an old maid.  It’s like the Jane Austin era.  People are like “oh, her glow is gone.”

Kelly, 29, said she hopes to be married by the time she is 50 – but she would settle for finding “a good date.”

Aisha Tyler is the newest co-host of “The Talk.”

The CBS midday chat show has featured several guest hosts – including Tyler – since canning Holly Robinson-Peete and Leah Remini in August.

The actress and comic – who previously hosted “Talk Soup” on E! and filled in on “The Late Late Show” inbetween Craig Kilborn and Craig Ferguson – will report for work on Monday (October 24), according to Deadline.com.

She joins Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood.

Hayden Panettiere – who famously portrayed Amanda Knox in a controversial Lifetime movie – says her “eyes welled up” when the US exchange student was freed from jail in Italy earlier this month.

I was studying in my bedroom and I watched it,” she tells Access Hollywood Live.  “I was on the edge of my bed.  It’s hard for me… Because I played her, I do feel like I have a certain connection with her and it is difficult for me to say that I am not excited to see a young girl get a second chance at life.  And she does have a second chance and I hope she makes the best of it.”

Host Billy Bush pressed the actress about whether she would consider reprising the role for a follow-up flick.

“I have been asked that a couple of times,” she replied.  “Regardless, I don’t know how differently they could do it or what the story would be about.  Because it was such public knowledge, no I feel like if they did it about her being in jail, they would have to get her involved?

“I would definitely read (the script).  But I don’t know… It would depend on a whole lot of things.”

Let the party planning begin!

Days before the launch of “The Rosie Show” – which some believe could make or break the struggling OWN network – Rosie O’Donnell is looking ahead to an even bigger event: her big 5-0.

“I turned 40 a few months after 9/11 and I didn’t really feel like I wanted to have a party or do anything,” the controversial talk show host revealed in a press conference Wednesday.

“It was too soon, I think, for me, for the nation, for everyone.  So I didn’t do much on my 40^th birthday.  Although it was a huge milestone for me because my mom had died at 39.  Making it to 40…I had a superstition I wasn’t going to make it there.  So 50 is going to be a big blowout!”

The quick witted mother of four says plans are already in the works for a celebration to be held in conjunction with her March 21 milestone.

“We are trying to coordinate how we are going to do it,” she says.  ‘We are trying to get the whole audience full of other people who are turning 50, born in 1962.  We are going to do something really huge.  We are not sure what.  But we are going to do something.”
